Tuesday's prep roundup

Volleyball

Fairview Christian swept three games from visiting Lifegate Christian on Monday.

Game scores were 25-17, 25-18, 25-13 for the Falcons.

“Everybody contributed. We played well together,” said coach Liz Demaris, adding that junior Candice Miller did a great job as the team’s floor leader.

Next up for Fairview Christian (1-2) is a match tonight at Mohawk.

Boys soccer

Tillamook 4, Sweet Home 1

Coach Al Grove was disappointed in the Huskies’ effort against the visiting Cheesemakers.

“We didn’t play our best ball,” Grove said.

Tillamook led 2-1 at the half, but broke the game open with two secon-half goals.

Sweet Home’s lone goal was scored by sophomore midfielder Mitchell Grove off a rebound.

The Huskies (0-3) play at Yamhill-Carlton on Thursday.

East Linn Christian 1, Columbia Christian 1

Marshall Baker scored in the 56th minute to give East Linn Christian the lead, but a penalty call four minutes later gave the Knights the chance to tie it up, which they converted.

East Linn Christian (2-0-1) plays a nonconference game Saturday at St. Mary’s in Medford.
